Barge Unloader Chain

The Continous Barge Unloader (CBU) is a very efficient way to unload material such as limestone, coal, grain. pet coke, iron ore, wood chips, and many more from a barge. These barge unloaders are frequently used by coal fired power plants, marine terminals, garin elevators, cement mills, steel mills and paper mills that are located near major river and inland waterways.

Renold Jeffrey offers proven chain designs that do not require lubrication. Two chains that are frequently used on barge unloaders are: Steel Block Chain and Knuckle type chains and feature re-greasable or dry run desings.

Steel Block Chain Dimensions

Simple construction makes steel block chain a reliable, economical choice for slow-speed drag-type chain conveyors where service is intermittent. their large bearing surfaces and high-tensile strength are ideal for steel mill operations such as sheet stackers, coil conveyors and cooling beds. Large objects and be carried directly on the chains or by spur-type attachments along auxilliary tracks and rails.
