Engineering chain from Renold has been chosen to drive the Iron Dragon roller coaster ride at Cedar Point theme park in Ohio, USA. Eight hundred and sixty feet of the company’s chain powers the 40mph ride to heights of 76 feet. Thrill seekers are then taken around swooping turns and are then driven low over a misty lagoon where riders look out for the Lake Erie monster. Commissioned 17 years ago the Iron Dragon ride is a favorite among roller coaster enthusiasts and so far has run over 30 million rides.
